Project Details
Vino is a neighbourhood wine bar and dining venue located within an established East Melbourne streetscape. The project involved the transformation of an existing tenancy into a warm and inviting hospitality environment that balances character, functionality and contemporary use.
The layout was carefully planned to support both dining and service requirements within a compact footprint. Seating, food preparation and operational spaces are arranged to maximise efficiency while maintaining a strong connection between guests and the venue's day-to-day activity.
Existing architectural elements were retained and integrated throughout the project, contributing to the distinctive identity of the interior. Timber joinery, exposed materials and custom shelving introduce warmth and texture while complementing the character of the original building.
Storage, display and service areas are incorporated throughout the venue, supporting the operational demands of hospitality while maintaining a cohesive and uncluttered environment. The open arrangement enhances visual connection across the space, creating an intimate and welcoming dining experience.
Material selections prioritise durability and longevity, ensuring the venue is well suited to the demands of daily use while maintaining a refined and enduring aesthetic.
The result is a considered hospitality project that combines functionality, character and contemporary commercial use within the heart of East Melbourne.
