Community Centre – Frankston City Council

The development provides a collection of flexible spaces that can accommodate educational, recreational and community-based uses within a highly functional and accessible environment. Planning was centred around creating clear circulation, adaptable meeting areas and welcoming shared spaces capable of serving a broad range of users.

Internally, the facility incorporates open communal areas, dedicated activity rooms and integrated support spaces designed to facilitate both structured programs and informal community engagement. Natural light, durable materials and clear sightlines contribute to a comfortable and practical environment suited to daily public use.

Accessibility and long-term functionality were key considerations throughout the project. Circulation spaces, amenities and shared facilities were designed to support ease of movement while ensuring the building remains adaptable to the evolving needs of the community.

The architectural response adopts a restrained and contemporary approach, balancing durability with a welcoming civic presence. Material selections and interior finishes were chosen to provide longevity while supporting the operational requirements of a high-use public facility.
