Duotone – Bentleigh

Contemporary Architectural Residence

Project Details

Defined by contrast and material clarity, Duotone establishes a composed architectural language grounded in balance, proportion and restrained detail.

The façade is articulated through a dual material palette, combining light and dark elements to create depth and hierarchy. Openings are carefully arranged within a disciplined framework, reinforcing a clear and ordered street presence.

Internally, the plan balances openness with defined zones. A central living domain anchors the home, where kitchen, dining and living areas are consolidated into a cohesive and functional volume.

Material continuity defines the interior. Timber, stone and integrated joinery are applied with restraint, allowing contrast and junction detailing to shape the architectural expression. The kitchen is resolved as a central element, combining monolithic surfaces with integrated storage and appliances.

Natural light is introduced through carefully proportioned openings, maintaining consistency across both levels while ensuring privacy to surrounding properties. Living areas extend outward to landscaped zones, establishing a controlled relationship between interior and exterior spaces.

Vertical circulation is expressed through a sculptural stair, linking upper-level accommodation organised with clarity and efficiency. Bedrooms and bathrooms maintain a consistent material language, reinforcing cohesion throughout the home.

The result is a resolved and contemporary residence, defined by clarity, contrast and disciplined execution.
